THE WORLD OF YOGA

The Journey to Self Renewal

Meet Sharon Ross

"Yoga is accessible to everyone. Each student decides what is useful to them. My teaching style is Hatha Yoga plus Vinyasa and is adapted to the student abilities and needs"

Yoga Instructor, Mother, Wife, Project Manager

Balance and flexibility is important when getting things done. Being a certified yoga instructor provides a deeper understanding of the calmness and mindfulness needed to do so.

I have my RYT 200 - Yoga Alliance certification and have been teaching since 2019.  I teach in English.

Yes, I know, most people say wife and mother. I do frequently see myself as a mother first. I see it as a greater responsibility as I helped create these new humans and by doing so took on the task of training them. My husband is my partner in that and in life. As he is a war veteran who has been deployed twice, my viewpoint on motherhood only has grown stronger. As my children have grown older, my training of them has become more coaching.

Myth - Too Old

This is simply not true. There are yoga instructors in their 100's. Age has nothing to do with practicing yoga. Have a beginner's mind and an openness to try, that is what is needed.

Myth - Women Only

Although it is predominantly women who practice yoga in the United States, a growing number of men are practicing. And let's not forget those who do not identify using binary genders. Yoga is for everyone.

Myth - Athletes Only

Yoga is not for just the athletic, it is for all body types. Doing advanced poses does not necessarily mean that one is "better" at yoga. Yoga is about the union of the mind, body and spirit. The journey starts where you are.
